The
Manchester area is considered the "HUB" of the active adult community. It is
located in Ocean County and easily is referred to as the "RETIREMENT CAPITAL OF THE
NORTHEAST".
Manchester offers thousands of single family homes, in all styles and price ranges, with
gated or non gated communities. Almost all the communities offer clubhouses, pools, bus
service to area shopping centers. Some communities have golf courses, waterfront areas and
on-site medical care. Residents must be age 55 or older, however, many communities do
allow adult children as permanent residents who have not yet attained age 55.
Grandchildren are permitted to visit for varying lengths of time depending upon the
community.
